At first we really don’t have a precise idea what monogram means , what its for and how to do it. We thought a simple joint name will suffice plus any thing or any symbols that matters to both of you . Thus, we did a little internet research but started to wonder the reliability of the source, though most of them said bride’s initial goes first.
We found out that Monogramming uses some circles which makes it popular and that newfound popularity comes confusion. Many modern couples create a joint monogram to symbolize their union. As for the traditional order for a monogram is Bride’s first name initial, last name initial, and then the Groom’s first name initial. If the monogram is for just one person, it is their first name initial, their last name initial, and then their middle initial. As an alternative, you could always do a two-initial monogram of your first initials.
Making it more meaningful to us, we decided to create our own simple DIY MONOGRAM with our initials: JBS.
